Introduction - Who Am I ?

 Welcome to ink couture a beauty salon located in rural NSW about four hours away from Sydney. 

Who am I?? 

My name is Amanda, and I am 35 with no kids and living my best life while learning hairdressing. I have many pets because I am a huge animal lover and love to have an art studio on a farm somewhere surrounded by animals. I am only 5'3 tall but sometimes I think I am 6 foot tall. I enjoy kayaking and going shopping and discovering a good book to read. I come from a art background and I studied art all throughout high school and after school. I only discovered makeup from a friend that lived around the corner from me when I was in the 5th grade and fell in love with it ever since. Now it came to 2014 when I did my first online makeup course with qc makeup academy. I tried doing beauty therapy but the environment at the local Tafe was too toxic for my liking so everything I learn is online and I love it that way. Not only do you get to work at your own pace, but you get to see a better view of the demo. I don't know why people shame people for doing online courses because it has its advantages and cons just like in person courses. It's not for everyone it all comes down to your learning style and how well your good at working on your own. I'm currently doing my certificate 3 in hairdressing online through a big company in Sydney and even they see the benefits of learning online and how things have changed. I think some people are too set in their own ways. 

Why do I love beauty so much?

I think I love beauty so much is because it's another creative outlet just like putting paint to a canvas but also transforming someone to make them feel amazing about themselves. That feeling when you finish, and they love their makeup is an undescribed feeling. It's almost liked a high you get from it, and you can't wait for the next one. 

What brands are your favourite??

I wouldn't say I have a favourite brand, but I do buy a lot of different brands from mac to even crown cosmetics. I think every brand has their pros and cons and it's up to you to decide what is good and what isn't. 

How long you been in the beauty business?

I've actually been doing makeup since 2016 when I completed my course. Its been on and off and hard to gain clients when you live in a small town. But I have noticed people love more hair services compared to other beauty treatments like makeup. 

If you could live anywhere, where would it be??

If I could live anywhere, it defiantly be in a European city or a place near the beach in Australia.

Do you have any regrets? 

No not when it comes to my beauty business although I wish I could work in a salon it makes life easier.
